Cannot delete file

I just reinstalled Vista, and after it all booted back up, everything nice and clean, I went to the Windows.old folder, and put it in the recycle bin, as it was taking up huge amount of space. It took a while, but it finally all deleted. However, the folder is still there, I tried to delete it but it says the folder cannot be found. lol...I'm looking right at it. It does have one folder in it. The folder is Users/Debbie/Desktop and it is empty.

Anything I can to do delete it? It bugs me that its still there but is "not there". Thanks.

First I think that you used the wrong procedure to delete. Follow this for both Vista and Seven. If you still have the problem post, and I will give you other methods to delete
