Entry in Uninstall List has disappeared

Hi I recently tried to install Windows Live Mail but the Installer installed the whole of Windows Live Essentials which I did not want. So I followed one of the Tutorials in these Forums to Uninstall the parts of WLE that I didn`t want Leaving WL Mail. All seemed OK and I`ve been using WLMail for a week
However I dont like it and decided to uninstall it which was when I discovered that it is not in the Program and Features Uninstall List. I tried a System Restore point but that made no difference to anything. How can I get it back into the Uninstall List in order uninstall it. Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.

I am a silver surfer with only about 3 years experience so any advice would have to be simple step by step Thanks in advance

A system restore from before the first install should uninstall everything. You must go back to the install prioar to Live Essentials.

Hi richc46
Thank you for your very quick reply. I`ve done as you said .I Went to a Restore Point before the install of WL Essentials but it changed nothing I can still run and use WL Mail as before.

Of course as it`s not affecting anything else and is working OK I could just go on using it but that does not solve the problem It should not be there and how do I get rid of it Any other ideas

This is my suggestion
You could download another client and set it as default. The Windows mail is as good as dead, even though still there
Top 11 Free Email Programs for Windows - About Email

or

Dowmload revo and try to uninstall with that software
Revo Uninstaller Pro - Uninstall Software, Remove Programs easily

or just install windows mail and then uninstall. Here is the link
http://explore.live.com/windows-live-mail?os=other

If it were mine, I would use the first choice. Trying fancy often leads to problems. Many have problems due to trying to fine tune a great OS.

If software is just sitting on the hard drive and nothing else, there is no real reason to uninstall unless space is a problem

Your WLM is not shown in Programs and Features.
Is Windows Live Essentials listed ?
If yes, uninstall Windows Live Essentials.

My Computer

Hi t-4-2
No WL Essentials is not listed. It was listed after my initial install but after I uninstalled all programs except WL Mail it had gone from the list. There is nothing for Windows Live at all in the List

The programs I intended to uninstall have uninstalled and WL Mail which I wanted to keep (At that time) remained and is still working OK. Everything went as the Uninstall Tutorial said it should.
Except that I now want to uninstall WL Mail and dont know how I`m hoping somebody else does
