Ok so here's the deal I wanted to take off a start up program so I went Into the configuration and unchecked the blackberry program because that's what I wanted not to start up and I hit apply then I shut down my computer came back an turned it one all these issues started

First in normal mode I only get my background no icons nothing just my mouse I tried hitting control alt delete screen goes black and I hit the down arrow 4 times and then enter ( to select task manager) goes back to my wallpaper and no tskmrg nothing

I can restarted the computer tho in safe mode with comand prompt and when it starts I just type in explorer.exe and hit enter and I am able to be on my computer that way but this is the weird thing I ran a full system virus check nothing a full system malwear check nothing so I am Absolutly lost and I have not backed up my system or set up the system restore so I can't restore to a previous date

I'm sure it's something stupid with the system load up programs but any help will be much appreciated I am very good at navgating around windows so if some can just help me out and tell me were to go and what to do that would be amazing

The system restore should be on automatically. Did you check to see if there are any restore points?

I'm not sure what you did. Did you go to msconfig.exe and disable the blackberry software? If so, you can go back and re-enable it. If that returns the system to normal, you can manually create a system restore point before troubleshooting further.

No ideas?? Sometimes I only get a window that pops up and is a Comrad gamer thing for battle feild 2014 I think? But that's been on there for a very long time I do have a after market graphics card that has been since I bought the computer is it possible an update changed settings on it or something ? Because if I right click I can see the drop down menu and also I can see my mouse that's it but if I click on any option on the right click nothing happens ? I dont know if this helps but that's what happens when I started it last night... I think my computer might have done an update and then it started doing this entire problem but I'm not sure I ran everything except the system file checker tool everything came out clean no virus no failed loading or anything :/

My graphics card is a pny verto GeForce 8500Gt if that helps

I don't think your graphics card has anything to do with it. There are all kinds of things I can think of to try to find the problem.

The first thing I would do is enable System Restore. Go to Control Panel, System, System Protection and make a selection. If it was temporarily stopped, you might actually have some restore points upon restarting it.

For Task manager, you can try running C:\Windows\System32\TaskMgr.exe

I would also go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services and check to see if the Windows Management Instrumentation is started (or possibly restart it). While there, you might also restart DNS (this could be related to your IE problem).

You could try SFC /Scannow as the administrator to see if there are any problems. Run it up to 3 times if it finds but can't fix a particular problem.

For the IE problem, you could try a clean boot. Run msconfig.exe. Under Services, check the box to hide microsoft services and then check the box to disable all other services. In the Startup tab, check the box to disable all items. Reboot. If the problem is resoved that way, then you can do selective restoration of Services or Startup items until the cause is found. However, you should run msconfig.exe and restore everything back to the way it was as soon as you're done trouble shooting in this manner.

Ok I figured it out I read another post some one had the exact same problem as me down to the exact detail no task manager mouse always came in from the one side of the screen

Kind of embarising but it happens.... I had both plus for my monitor plugged in my graphics card supports dual monitors but wasn't set up for it and my monitor was reading the wrong plug so I unplugged the wrong one and problem was solved

Atleast I no my computer doesn't have any viruses or malwere tho thanks for all the info I guess the next thing would be to see how to set up system restore but I'll figure that out later

Thanks for the help everyone

You should still fix the system restore.
