Files not Compressing when Zipped

Hi All,
I compressed a folder into a Zipped file (right clicked folder/send to-Compresssed (zipped) Folder) ....however, the zipped file is the same size as the original file....Not compressing it??? Any clues to what is going on? Thanks

Hi,

The answer depends on the files & thier format in the directory. A Zipped file can sometimes be bigger than the directory as "File headers" are added.

So what type of files are you trying to compress?

Hi,

There should be no issue compressing these type of files.

Does the system compress any type of file? Try downloading a free compression tool & see if that will compress the files.
