Extending 'C' partition

Hi, I have a disk with several partitions - C; D; E etc.

I want to shrink the partition next to 'C' that being 'D' and THEN increase my OS partition 'C'

I can see in Disk Management how to shrink the D partition but cannot seem to extend the C partition -

Any ideas what I need to do

My OS partition - C - is running very low on space.

Cheers

I can't find a way either. Perhaps software like EaseUS Partition can do this.

Since your C: partition is running low on space, I suggest determing which programs are storing your personal files on the C: partition and changing the default location to another partition. Then, transfer the old files to that location. In my case, I specify that all personal files are saved on a partition other than the C:. Then I backup those files periodically.

shrink d partition? do NOT delete system32. or windows.
empty recycle bin.
go through pictures, documents, videos etc. and make sure you use it or not. if you haven't used it in a while, delete it.
uninstall stuff you dont use anymore.
put large folders (folders INSIDE pictures, videos, etc.) on an external hard drive.
or back up your files and get a bigger hard drive.

Also, run the Windows Disk Cleanup utility from Accessories periodically and reboot. You could also use the free CC Cleaner which is supposed to be thorough.

It can be done with the bootable CD of partition Wizard (last entry on the webpage). Burn the .iso to CD and boot with that CD. Then move the D partition to the right so that the unallocated space is on the left (and to the right of C). Then you can extend C.
