Hi Ari94,

Temporary folder is a directory used to hold temporary files. Many operating systems and some software automatically delete the contents of this directory at boot-up or at regular intervals.

You can delete the files from Temp folder. There would be certain files which may not be deleted, this is happens when the files are in use. Please follow detailed instructions to delete the Temp folder: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/104637-temporary-files-temp-folder.html

Please revert back for clarification.

Unless you are trying to cure a specific problem - don't bother. Removing them will gain you nothing and can cause problems. Using a reputable app like CCleaner occasionally should be safe - but unless you are very sure that you are not deleting important files, leave them be.

Cleaning TEMP folders used to be common practice when hard-drives were very small and very expensive - these days, it's just best to let them do their thing in peace.

No worries.

The sort of problems it may cause are usually minor and temporary because that folder may contain logs and files that programs want to use. In general, the worst that might happen is that some application may do something a bit weird - like asking you check for updates when you only did it an hour ago or your backdrop or user-account icon may change. It's possible that some badly-written program may have stored something there that was a bit more important - but that's very unlikely.

I'd recommend just using CCleaner at it's default settings for clearing TEMP files etc - it's always proven reliable and safe for me. Even then, I really only use it because I like to remove unwanted cookies and and browsing history. Clearing TEMP files is mostly pointless and unnecessary - really only needed as a possible cure when some old program leaves garbage behind that interferes when you try to update or reinstall.
