I'm fixing up an old machine that is capable of SLI, so basically I'm changing out everything except the motherboard. I'm a little paranoid about further upgrades though, there are rumors online about not allowing for too many reactivations even though I've done two with the same board already. So what I have left is the CPU and ram, does it matter if I do them both at the same time or together? I always thought OEM licenses are tied to the board, although I have flashed the BIOS as well! So am I safe? I don't want to be stranded with no Windows.
I just don't understand why it fails the internet activation but then you have to read then enter the long string of digits by calling the automated system - isn't that just over complicating the same information the system already has???
