Solved hard drive not what it use to be

Hello Soundcrack,

Please help me understand where exactly do you see the capacity of the hard drive as 48.7GB.
You can check the hard drive capacity in Disk Management. Also check the number of hard drives listed in BIOS setup and their capacities. To boot in BIOS setup, restart the computer and tap F10 key repeatedly.

Please try the steps and write back with results.

in disk management there is disk 0 and disk 1, both are basic, online and both have 465.76gb, but that is not showing up in mycomputer folder, plus i can store more then 48gb on my 2nd drive, at least the capasity is still possibly 465gb. thanks for that info.

[Edit} WAIT, beside the 2nd drive in disk management there are 3 box's, here screenshot...

Its all there just unallocated. See the 404Gigs? You have it unallocated to a drive.

Right click on the F drive and extend the drive into the space.

i don't understand, right click in mycomputer?, in disk management?, in WinDirStat?

[Edit} ok so i extended the disk volume and there still is a 12.44 gb part of the drive that i don't use, its the (G: )part beside it, but in myComputer its called Local Disk

yes i did that, thanks, i even figured out how to get that last 12.44 gb back to the drive, the drive now has 465 gb, thanks Patonb, for the help, and thanks to everyone that was welling to help :)

I actually like having 2 drives separate nto store drivers and such, but it's you so if you want 1 big drive, you'll need to erase the 12Gig then extend into it like you did above.

Just make sure it's empty.
