Solved How to change my default cursor?

I downloaded a cursor then I went to Mouse Pointers to change the white cursor, it worked but one time when I restart the laptop, my cursor was gone instead it was the white cursor that appeared in the desktop. I read a problem like this but I still didn't know what to do.

Did you click on Apply after selecting the new pointer?

Yes, I did. But the wihite cursor still comes back

In the Pointers tab, is the box checked for "Allow themes to change pointer". If you uncheck that, does the same problem occur after reboot?

My apologies. I was using my Win 7 system when I responded last night. I assumed that Vista had the same setting. I'm on my Vista system this morning and see that, like yours, it doesn't have that option.

Try moving the custom files to C:\Windows\Cursors.
