Memory Dump file

Why can't I open these files: Memory Dump file and Minidump?

Any easy way to open them?

You need special software, It is calles windbg.

Should I install both for SDK and for WDK?...or just one? Which?

You need SDK
I am assuming that you have Vista
Download Microsoft Windows SDK for Windows 7 and .NET Framework 4 from Official Microsoft Download Center

Very difficult installation, took all morning.

So...now I have SDK all installed. What's next? My initial attempt to open Memory Dump says "Access to Windows Memory Dump file is denied"

I right-clicked the file to go to properties > security...and saw that I am allowed full control, but why was I denied access?
