After right click properties on My picture folder and change a picture location in the location tab to an external hard drive in %userprofile%\My picture folder the My picture folder has disappear now from %userprofile%\ location.
I went to the registry in the Shell Folder and User Shell Folder \ My Pictures REG_SZ and change back to %userprofile%\My picture value but that seem not taking effect.

Regard,
Thanks.

Re: After right click properties on My picture folder and change a picture location l

Hello Stuckfree,

Double check through OPTION TWO in the tutorial below to see if it may be able to help restore your My Pictures folder.

Hope this helps. :)

Hi brink,
The first method I can't follow because My Pictures folder is missing and when I right click on the x:\users folder there's no location tab, however after followed the link instruction I created a new folder and rename to the missing folder name in my case is My Pictures and then apply the regedt32 files downloaded from the same link, and applied the regedt32 files to my computer windows 7 by double click on the regedt32 file, however what I don't remember if the My Pictures folder should be empty by default I mean just a .ini file inside this folder and there's no location tab.

Regard,
Thanks.

Odd. Did you do all of OPTION TWO step by step?

If so, there should be a "Location" tab if it was successful for your "C:\Users\(User-Name)\My Pictures" folder.

Hi Brink,
Did you do all of OPTION TWO step by step?
I believe so, I created a new folder and rename it My Pictures located in "C:\Users\(User-Name)\My Pictures" folder and then run the downloaded My Pictures reg file after that right click on the My Pictures folder and there's no location tab windows treated this folder as a regular folder, and one more thing the folder is almost empty it contains the .ini file only, I really don't remember is the folder has other datas inside beside the .ini file.

regard,
Thanks.

Re: After right click properties on My picture folder and change a picture location l

Ah, that may be the reason. Name the folder Pictures instead of My Pictures to see how that works.
