rows of 7.JPGhi everyone

sometimes when I try to rename something e.g. folders, pictures etc. I am getting rows and rows of the number 7.
this does not happen all of the time.
can anyone please help.

Clean your keyboard... then try to use another keyboard (if you have a desktop) or connect an external keyboard if you have a laptop... the keyboard must be clean from dust, hairs and food to work properly...

(if the problem still exists, try to perform a deep AntiVirus scan)

I dunno why you'd want to make a virus which changes names of things to 77777... If it was me I'd rename them to a bunch of illegal characters or move everything in random places to annoy people :)

Also he didn't state it was doing it while typing...

I was talking about:

if it was renaming the files after inputting a name, not while typing it in the box
not whatever you were saying :)

if we get more info then it would help, but yeah, let's assume it is just a sticky keyboard...
