Windows Vista Fonts Removed, how can i download default fonts?

Hello all,

I'm having a nightmare with my computer. I did a anti virus system check and it deleted lots of files. Now my fonts have all changed and when I am on the internet fonts are all over the place, large, italics etc.

The task bar changes theme every time i log on so I have to manually change it to vista.

How can I download the original vista fonts to go back to normal please?

I have tried to do a system restore but it states that 'there are no restore points'.

It's becoming really annoying now as I cannot read certain pages of websites as the fonts are unreadable.

any help is very much appreciated!

I suggest using the following guide to repair windows. Some of the options you might have already done or cannot do. If that is so skip it. Repair Vista Options - Preferred Sequence A repair install will fix the issue but it will also require that you reinstall your problems. Other options might fix it without taking such drastic measure. Since I've never encountered someone who has deleted many system fonts I don't know what level of recovery will be required.

The instructions tell you how to slipstream a sp2 disk. That is tedious and will requiring purchasing software. Instead I suggest that you temporarily post your email onto this thread and someone will give you a download link for a service pack 2 disk provided that you don't already have one (a recovery disk from a computer manufacturer will not suffice for repairing windows). Since you did not fill out your system specs completely I can only give you that link since I don't know what you are running but your disk will have to match your current service pack level. Frankly since you are trying to recover from a virus a clean install using your manufacturer's recovery disks or recovery partition is the best route to go.
