Vista compatible with Western Digital hard drives?

Hi everyone, I'm using Vista home premium 32bit SP2 and also have 3 Western Digital my book hard drives. The ones I have are old versions but now there are new version drives so if I buy the new drives will they be compatible with Vista?

The older version drives which I have work fine with Vista. They are ones linked below.

Yes I used one with my Vista.
They say:
Compatible with Windows 7, 8 and 10. May require reformatting for other operating systems.

That just means Vista may suggest you format them before use, that's OK.

In my experience, you can't partition more than about 1.6 GB on a 2 GB drive in Vista. Just thought I'd mention that in case you want to partition a 3 GB external drive.
