Help with Installing Samsung 850 Pro SSD as second Drive

I wan't to install a second drive to act as a scratch disk for Photoshop & also storing/reading very large photos as mechanical HDD's are just too slow.

After reading alot of stuff online I still have no straight answer with SSD & Vista's lack of TRIM.

I have read a few comments that simple running say ccleaner to wipe the space gets the SSD back to performance levels.

If this is true, does the whole drive have to be wiped or is remaining Free Space enough?

If not what other programs should I use to maintain the SSD?

please help, thanks
