Major install problems

My system is as follows :

asus p5n32-sli se deluxe motherboard
e6700
4 gig ddr 667 ram
7950gx2

Whenever i install it goes past the completing install stage and then after reboot loads the moving bar. After this i get a black screen with a dashed white line (--------), at least thats what it looks like. When i boot into safe mode it seems to die on crcdisk.sys. I've read reports of people with another asus board and the same card having problems installing. Asus also said on their forums to one customer that he could order a vista support cd as they are not making vista drivers available for download. I think this is ridiculous for a 6 month old board and will not be buying asus again.

Does anyone know how i can get vista to install? I am currently thinking i'll have to buy a new motherboard, graphics card or both. :( Which is not fun, as the pc is only 6 months old.

Make sure you have the latest BIOS, then go into the BIOS setup and enable "Memory Remap Feature", which you'll find under Advanced > Chipset. No need to reinstall Vista, just boot it up and with a bit of luck you won't have the problem any more.
