Solved Text appears blurry and distorted

Hi everyone,

I woke up this morning to find that the text in certain programs appears distorted and blurry. I first noticed it when I checked Gmail, but when I opened Android Studio, I could not read the code in the files (the text in the menus appears okay). I have tried turning Aero on and off, changing the screen resolution, DPI, etc. and nothing has worked. I would really appreciate any help on this as I am not able to do any work until I can read what is written in my programs. Images are fine and the text in the forum appears fine. It is code in Android Studio and some buttons in Gmail (that I have found so far).

Thanks in advance.

Seems Google is the common denominator. Have you looked in their forums? If it's something coming from them others should be complaining.

Thank you for the reply.

In Gmail, the COMPOSE button is distorted, but still readable. Other bold text is also distorted and the code in Android Studio is almost illegible, as the picture shows. Is Android Studio part of Google? I will check their forums, but if you have any other ideas, please let me know.

My problem is a Laptop with blurry text in any browser. It seems strange only the google/android things would be messed up. And yes Android is an OS done by Google.

Android Studio is the IDE you use to write Android Apps. I know that Android is an OS by Google, but I didn't think that Android Studio is an Android app? The only thing I found on the Google forums was to run the System File Checker from a command prompt. I haven't been able to get access to the computer so I haven't tried that yet. I hope to post back any results as soon as I try that.

Is your text messed up across the whole page or just in certain areas?

Thank you, Ex-Brit. I did suspect that it might be one of the updates, but didn't find anything when I searched for it. There were a few updates, so maybe I searched for the wrong one...

I didn't see any issues myself but found that for another similar thread here.

Removing the update seems to have worked. I am still opening Android Studio to see if that is okay, but Gmail is fine now. Thank you!!

UPDATE: Android Studio is back to normal!

Let's hope Microsoft respond by issuing a replacement. They must by now have received a few complaints although it seems some aren't having any problems.
