Vpn vista vagueries

Can anyone explain to me how to access files on a system that i have set up a vpn with? In XP all i did was right clicked network settings did a search for computer and added a code... Can't see how to do this on Vista... Anyone?

Open Windows Explorer Type
\\hostname\C$ if you have administrative privileges on the remote computer.
or \\ipaddress\C$
