Driving me crazy !

:mad:This network thing is driving me up the wall. I have this new Desktop PC with Vista SP-1 64 bit. We will call this one #1.
#2 is also a Desktop with Vista SP-1
#3 Is a Laptop with Vista SP-1, all are HP products.
My network has a D-Link N wireless Router, and it is all set up and running fine except for this one thing that I cannot resolve.
From #1... I can see #2 & #3 and open all the public folders without a password.
When I try to see #1 from either #2 or #3 I am asked for a password and user name.
I have turned everything I know of, related to passwords off on #1, yet it is still asking.
I feel it is something in the new #1 PC
I use all the usernames I know along with my password to no avail...
Any help will be greatly appreciated...

Re: Driving me crazy ! the answer !

I've been at this for a couple of days now, and going over all the settings on my other two PC's I noticed in the "Network & Sharing " that the "Turn off password protected sharing" was indeed turned off. Checking my new PC it was still on.
I could kick myself for overlooking such a simple thing, still I suppose that's how we learn.
All is fine now.
