Windows cannot find any networks

Hello..
I have yet another problem with my lame vista laptop and this time, it's the net yet again!
I can't seem to find any wireless networks nor can I find mine.
I've tried to do some of the things people suggested with previous posts like mine but, I it doesn't seem to work.

Wireless Network COneection is disabled, I try to enable it and it doesn't work:mad:

p.s.
I can access the internet when I connect the DSL modem directly to my laptop.

Yes, I have tried to switch it on and off, with no luck.
It's displaying a blue light which I assume means that it's working?

My laptop with wireless has 2 blue lights. If one is flickering, then I have a wireless connection. The other one, on my laptop, just shows the wireless card is active.

Sounds like some of your Services are set to off instead of Auto or Manual.

No Vista machine where I am at present, so I cannot check on how to get there.

you can try running it in safe mode or apparently if you run an error-check on your drive it may also help (got that from some outside reading) to run the check you can right click on your C: drive partition and go to properties>tools>error-checking click check now
