I apparently have a good internet connection however the icon in my taskbar has a red X. Anyone know why? I've already ran the windows diagnostic and it reports that it can't find a problem.

I resolved this problem by doing two things 1. in the Control screen...under Programs and features... I selected and repaired MS .Net Framework client profile. 2. under Network and Sharing center I enabled Discovery and File sharing. I have a VISTA...hope this helps.
