Network security key

I have a wireless network in my home. I just purchased a Sony laptop with Vista Home business installed. When I try to get in Internet Explorer, many times I am unable. My network security key seems to always default to another code and I have to retype mine in in order to get on the internet. What can I do to have my key code be permanent?

Can you give us more details about your setup please, who is your ISP, what router do you use, how many other computers do you have in your home and do any of them have a problem ?

As you see we need a few more particulars so that the experts can help you as you haven't given many details about your setup, and we can't see what you have. ;)

Hi abailey, what kind of encryption are you using? Is it WAP or WEP?

Which router are you using? I would recommend you to delete the config and re-configure the router. It should work.
