there was version 5.44, then 5.45 came later but was buggy & got pulled (dang Avast seems to screw up with some of these new versions of CCleaner) and restored v5.44

CCleaner was a good program until Piriform was bought by Avast/AVG in 2017.

Since this thread has been resurrected, I should point out that the last version to support Windows Vista and XP was 5.64.0.7577, which was released on March 3, 2020 and is an infernal piece of nagware. :mad: Granted, the nagging could probably be blocked with a firewall or host file rule; but why exactly would Vista and XP diehards need to use the last possible version? I suppose it might be better tailored to clean up after recent browser versions, but recent browser versions cannot be used on Vista or XP anyway.

still dont get why someone would need such a software that does the same functions that windows already has except registry clean.
browser wise there is a recent one called mypal made purposely for xp but perfect for vista and up to date always
