Program Files (x86)

I just installed Vista Home Premium 64 this week and I wanted to know what the Program Files (x86) under C: is? What means this (x86)? :sarc:
What is the difference between the Program Files (x86) and the Programs folder?

Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe
AMD 64 Dual Core 4400+
Radeon HD 2900 XT 1GB
4GB RAM Corsair
WD Raptor 150GB
Vista 64 Home Premium

hi!

there is 2 program files folders, one is for the 32 bits programs (x86) and the other (program files) is for the native 64 bits applications.

Yes, they do :)

unfortunately, there isn't a lot of 64 bits apps :(

Personally, I've got 4 ( nod32/ie x64/ O&O defrag/ Look'n'stop firewall)
