How can you make it so certain programs dont need 'permission' anymore?

(This is in another post but I couldn't edit it so I am reposting with another subj line.)

I use the weather channel desktop alert thing. How can I make it so Windows always allows the program to work, and I don't get one of those WINDOWS NEEDS YOUR PERMISSION FOR THIS PROGRAM TO ACCESS YOUR PC alerts. I click 'allow, i trust this' but I keep getting it.

To the best of my knowledge, the UAC (User Account Control) can not be selectively changed to allow some programs to run and not others. It's a built in security feature of Vista. While not recommended, the UAC can be disabled. I would recommend leaving it on, but if you want to try running your system with it disabled, you can find the instructions here: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/48893-user-account-control-uac.html

thanks, that takes care of it. I'll just leave it be. Or replace it with another program like 'Weather Watcher' I guess.
