Can't get Nero 9 to install..

I don't know why this is being a pain but here goes. I downloaded Nero 9 from their website. When I go to install on Vista x64 it unpacks/zips and then when its about to actually start the install NOTHING. The little circling circle just stops and disappears. I have tried this several times and the same thing. Also, it seems I have to use 'as administrator' when starting the process. Is there any setting that I can check/uncheck so I can just click on it and not have to use the 'as administrator' selection? Bottom line, has anyone else gotten it to install? I did install it on my XP system and it worked/installed like a champ. It was the same install file so I know its good.. ANy and all help appreciated.

when you said you are trying to install it on vista X64 and that it is the same file as you used on XP, was your windows XP x64 aswell...

it may be the case it is not compatable...

did you purchase the software or is it free download,in both cases, it should state somewhere what systems it is compatable with... there may even be mulitple downloads of that particular software, just so it is avalible for all Operating systems
