How do I uninstall Windows Messenger?

I recently installed the new version of Windows Live Messenger (2009) and it looks GREAT!! But... it often will freeze on me and stop responding. If the person on the other end of my webcam chat disconnects, my messenger will sometimes freeze. Sometimes, if one of us ends the chat, messenger will ALSO freeze. So... since I don't know how to fix this (if anyone does, let me know! =)) I decided to uninstall it. Well...I TRIED to uninstall it. For anyone trying to, you won't find it as "Windows Live Messenger" in the control panel; you'll have to look for "Windows Live Essentials". So I try to uninstall it; the little security window asking me if I want to continue or not pops up, and I say continue.... and that's it. Nothing happens. My computer is still the same, and Windows Live Messenger 2009 is still there. Does anyone know why the uninstall didn't work, or why nothing showed up?

I had a similiar problem with Windows Live Messenger 2009. First when I told it not to Start with Windows it would continue to Start. Then I couldn't find how to uninstall it. Online I found that if you select run and copy and paste the following it will uninstall, this worked on my Vista 64bit version:

msiexec /x {0AAA9C97-74D4-47CE-B089-0B147EF3553C}
