Install Home Premium using Ultimate DVD?

Hi all!
First, sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

I just purchased a laptop that has non OS installed and came with no discs, but it does have the license sticker for Vista Home Premium on it.

I purchased Vista Ultimate (32 bit) for my home PC, so I have that DVD.
Is there any option to install Vista Home Premium using the Ultimate DVD?

When I put in the serial number for Home Premium, will it figure out the version from that and let me install it with that DVD, or is it strictly only to install Ultimate?

Hopefully that makes sense and thanks for any info.

Hi,

All the dvd's are the same.

It is the product key that determines which Edition is installed.

If the key is stickered on the laptop - you may need to call the oem to activate it.
