I've fixed this problem for other people before and go figure when it happens to me I'm stumped..
just got a new hard drive so before i installed Vista Ultimate x64 i loaded fail safe defaults in BIOS and made sure to boot from CD before HDD...
I put in the Vista OEM installation disk, Boot from CD and after finishing verifying DMI pool data it continues to go right on to windows recovery...instead of giving me the option to press any key to boot from DVD...
I'm guessing it's an option in Bios i'm over looking but i can't for the life of me figure this out. Looking forward to input. Thanks in advance;)

Put the hard drive first, then the DVD drive. As the hard drive is empty the DVD drive should load.
