I'm working on a project for one of my classes where I made a movie in Windows Movie Maker, using Xvid movie files. When it came time to publish it, it published successfully, except for the fact that the video was compressed to half the size vertically only, and the bottom half was replaced by a large and obnoxious green bar.
Before I get a flurry of responses with the typical solution, I have already downloaded the Xvid codec (yes, I downloaded the XP/Vista x64 codec, not the x32 codec, and I'm positive). I also followed the directions posted on the following blog for the modification of the Configure Output menu: Fixing the Green Bar Problem in Windows Movie Maker, Bernie Zimmermann. However, none of this has worked and the obnoxious green bar is still obnoxious and green.
If anyone had any ideas on how to fix the green bar that has nothing to do with the above tried solutions, that'd be a world of help. You'd be my personal savior. I'd make you your own religion, if you want.
