Your link does not work. I have tried this before and create another partition and you need the professional edition in order to work on a 64 bit OS. It damaged my hard drive too, dont know how but it did. Just do it through the Disk Management, makes it so much easier and less hassle.

The link was live just on April 7, when you could get this software for free. I'm sorry, if you had any problems, but it wasn't my fault. BTW, if you have this app try to burn the recovery media on the CD and boot from it. This way it will work like a charm, even on the "256bit" operating system.
