Hi everyone,

Two questions please.

1. I just upgraded Macrium per it's advisement that there was an update. Do I have to create a new Bootable Rescue Disk now?

2. When restoring the system from Macrium, still getting confused as to what to designate drives as, primary or data.

I was looking for the answer to Item 1 and ran across a thread that said: "If your system has a hidden partition, then "C" should not be slated as "primary"". My other partitions are slated as "data". I have never tried to restore the "C" so in the event of a crash, not sure what will happen. Should "C" be slated as "primary" or "data"? How do I know if my system has a hidden partition?

I'm running Vista 64-bit Home Premium Edition

Thanks for your help.

re: Macrium Question Bootable Disk & Drive Designation

1. Would not hurt to burn a new CD - but most likely the old one will work. I always test that by imaging and restoring a small 2GB test partition.

2. The system partition (C) must be marked active. The hidden partition does not exist in Vista. That is a Windows7 special.
