Okay so here is the whole story, its a bit long so please bare with me.

I was trying to fix my computer. I has windows vista home premium 64 bit. I got a virus, it was the "internet security" a type of virus that pretends to be an Anti-virus. I took it to office max to get rid of it and they could have but the program needed Java script to work with IE. So we did research and killed the virus thinking that would let IE use Java. I was able to stop it by using command prompt in safe mode by typing "taskkill /f /im isecurity.exe" When i did that it stopped the virus.

I was then able to delete the virus, but nothing would work. Internet wouldnt work and i got an error saying "The dependancy service or group failed to start" so i researched that on a friends computer and it said several things that woould fix it. None worked, so i went to "computer management-services" And im guessing killing the virus disabled all the "services" After hours of turning most to "automatic" I finally got internet back on. Then i was able to access everything again so went back to officemax and the same error showed up. Java script i guess had not been active. then i looked at my control panel and java isnt even there.

My question it, how do i get java to run or at least be on my computer. I installed the latest version and it still says that. then i tried to uninstall and reinstall but it told me that i already had it installed.

please help and thank you very much for reading this.
