Please bear in mind I am researching this for my wifes laptop and I am posting/doing this currently from a work computer that is on a very slow network thus using search is very painful at work (otherwise I might not be asking this question).

Hardware

HP Pavillon DV9825nr Laptop
xb3000 docking station
vista X64

Panasonic LCD 32" - can't remember model right now
720p

Issue

Connected pc to lcd via hdmi - no problems
picture - good, no issues as of yet
audio going through the tv - sound from all sources except dvd's - digital output/sound is enabled.
The DVD sound does play through the laptop speakers while watching the movie. used various DVD playback software all = no sound from tv

Any help is much appreciated
