I know there are some other threads about this problem but i can't post a reply there. I have a problem with wmp 11. It was working ok, but one day it stopped opening. Even if I double click it or if i try to open a mp3 file, it won't load.I tried to delete the registries,as i found somewhere on the net, but nothing happened. Any solution found?

Hi, my name's Cody, and I'm working with the Windows Media Outreach Team to help answer questions folks might have about their copies of Windows Media Player.
Since everyone's system can be so different, and since you didn't provide a whole lot of detail about your setup, there could be tons of different things that are causing your problems. I did find this thread online, however, where people were discussing (and even solving) a problem similar to yours, so I wanted to share it with you: Windows Media Player 11 - Won't Open at all... - CNET Multimedia Forums
Sorry to just throw you towards another forum, but it might be a handy resource for you to look at some of the different solutions other users have found. Let me know if it's helpful. If not, I might be able to look for some other solutions. I'm no technical expert, but hopefully, I'll at least be able to point you towards some additional resources that'll help you get things running again!
Thanks,
Cody

The first solution I'd recommend giving a shot would be attempting to do a system restore to a point prior to you experiencing the issues you describe. That's a pretty simple solution that is usually pretty effective. Let me know if this helps.

Hello again. After a long time i haven't solved my problem yet. I tried many many things, searched lots of forums but nothing worked. I tried also a restore but nothing Please if someone (Cody for example) can help me out i would be grateful. It's over a half a year with the problem pending. I also have some problems with my internet browsers when there is associated with windows media player. I search every now and then for an updated version of wmp but there isn't any. If you like me to provide you more info about my computer and my settings or anything else that might help i am able to do so. Just let me remind you that i am running on Vista x64.
