Solved Sound Randomly Stops Working

I'm using Vista, 32-Bit. Audio is Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 211, Version 4.36
HP Pavilion dv6700

When I updated my Conexant audio to 4.36, I had to reboot my laptop. The audio was working for a while, after then it randomly stopped working. I had this problem 1 month ago or so. The audio was not muted, it was enabled and it said it had no problems. I don't really know whats happening.

Any suggestions?

Roll back to the previous driver. Go to device manager, sound, conexant.Right click and go to properties. You will see the option there.

I tried that. But it doesn't work.

BTW, it randomly fixes by itself when it wants to (Started working now). I just wanted a solution for it whenever its failing.

Update: Now my sound says "No Audio Output Device is installed"

Update #2: I checked my Device manager on sounds, video and controllers, I don't see Conexant HD Audio. I used recovery manager, nothing happened. I uninstalled the driver, it didn't reinstalled. But when I did it before, it reinstalled and worked for 5 minutes. I basically did almost everything to fix it, I might have missed something, but please help me. I'm getting so annoyed by this.

Found the problem to my sound.

It was the Service Pack 2 that stopped my sound from working, I tried methods from the Windows/Microsoft site (Method 1-7) none work.

It was the Service Pack 2's problem.

Thanks for helping out guys!

(And tell me how to put this into the "Solved" thing)
Please and Thank you.

To mark a thread as solved is an easy procedure. On the upper right of your screen, you will see 3 icons. One looks like a snowflake (its actually a scale) and a triangle. Click on the triangle and type solved. A moderator will come by and actually mark the thread as solved.
I hope that you resolve the crashing problem that you are experiencing.
