I have a Fatal1ty Creative headset which i am very fund of, but today the mic stopped working for some reason. I didn't change any settings or anything like that. My PC (vista) knows that the mic is connected, and it stands as "working" (which it is clearly not). I have tried to use the mic on another pc, but it didn't work their either. If I go to control panel -> sound and think the microfon, the green bar doesn't go up if i speak. However, if i tap the microfon hard, i can get small spikes of green bars.
The sad thing is that this is the SECOND of these excact headset microfones that stopped working for me. I had another headset just like this many years back, which suddenly got the same problem. We thought it was the wiring, because it looked a bit damaged. But this headset is newer and it doesn't have any visible damage atleast.
I'm kinda desparate, i use this headset all the time for talking on skype, so it would be great if I didn't have to buy a new headset again.
