NO Loudspeaker sound in Acer 5720

My Acer TravelMate 5720 has a new "problem." It has good audio via the headphone jack/line out, but no sound from loudspeaker. Further, when the headphones are removed from the jack, the loudspeker icon shows a red "X" and a "mouse-over" says "No Audio Output Device Installed". Similarly on Device Manager no loudspeaker is available. How do I get the Loudspeaker Icon, etc. back to normal and connected in the system. Thanks!

Well..you need to install a sound driver for the device, if you do not have it, download for internet using your laptop's model no. and OS name. If it was working earlier and you are not able to find it, try restoring the System, as:

Run-> Restore-> Enter. Open an icon with green arrow and restore system to an earlier date when it was all fine.
