Solved 5670 crashes

Hello,
I have two hard drives one with xp 32 and one with vista 64
I bought a new 5670 hd video card . I installed it and it runs ok until I play a video.
every video i play crashes my comp. I installed the latest flash player .latest video drivers.Only way I can play videos is in safe mode,so my guess is that it is a driver issue somewhere. anybody here know of a fix here?

Just try updating the codec packs on your computer & see if that will help your situation: -

After installing that,It didn't make any difference.
I didnt unistall my codecs like download recomended though.I tried a yutube video
and when I close my browser I get a blue screen with lines in it or a black screen like my monitor is shut off.I may just start over with a clean install of vista.
I dont really want to rma this video card if all possible.
The card does play games ok ,but my system is a bit old for it.

I have
n68-s
400 watt
Athlon dual kuma
4 gig ddr2
I read that people were running this card on a 300 watt psu ,the box does say 450 min, 600 for crossfire.
my previous card was a 8400 gs
I bought this 5670 to play diablo3, casual gaming.
On the beta it is a bit taxing to play ,but it looks so much nicer on this card.

Probably the psu,sigh o well .
back to my gs 8400 till I get 600 watt or better.

A quality 350 would run it, the average 400 shioud run it.

A power supply, like a cx 430, is fairly affordable and easy to swap.

read some forums about this card,and its 2.1 pci
and mayby its not working right on 2.0
I may jhave to get another mobo also.

No, pci-e 2.1 is backward to pci-e 1.

It's all good, most likely just to much draw on the psu.

hey,
I just wanted to update that my problem was fixed by disabling hardware acceleration in flash if any one is interested.
I aslo talked to a guy that works on computers and he said I should get a better psu.He didnt want to sell me one or nothing like that. The card works fine now
I bought it open box on neww egg for 50.00 so I was a bit worried,but it looked like a new card.so hopefully its just a bug in fire fox that will be fixed ,i'm not certain.

Yes it was the psu I tried out flash with hardware acceration on this new psu. cant make this thing crash now.good advise thankyou,
