My digital camera don't work anymore because there is no driver support.

It's Canon PowerShot A40 which I purchased ~4 years ago, which worked fine
in XP

Can Microsoft include the driver for this? So far canon.com don't have
driver for my camera yet, and I have to load my photos and connect my Camera
from Linux.

Welcome to the brave new world of Vista. I had an A40 but I gave it
to my daughter after buying a Canon S3 IS. IBut have a Sony Camcorder
that has an USB interface that Vista broke. I doubt Microsoft will
solve this; It's up to the camera venders to release new drivers for
Vista. This will be a test of how well they support obsolete
products. BTW, my new Canon camera doesn't require a driver. It act
just like a USB flash-drive and uses the flash-drive driver built into
windows. Smart move by Canon but too late for owners of older camera
models.

As for a solution to your problem, you may just have to break down and
by a flash card reader that works with Vista. It would have the added
advanage of being faster. The A40 uses the old slow USB 1.0
interface. My new Canon camera uses USB 2.0 and transfers photos much
faster than my old A40.''

Thanks. I think that would be the cheapest and easiest way to solve the
problem in alternative to the driver.

A flash card reader has many advantages including speed, not using the
camera battery, portability, using the flash card for non-camera
purposes like any flash card .......
