hello.
it's not a problem of mine personally but somebody else.
the problem is when saving Gif files they are saved in a filesize of bytes
(58 bytes,62 bytes) it keeps changing, and when opening the file it doesn't show anything.

what could be the reason of this?
and yes i told the person to try and save with .gif in the end of the file name but it's the same.
could it be protected gifs or something?

thanks for any hep...

Hello Shayx,

To be totally honest, I'm not sure but with a site like vogue, I can imagine them doing something to protect copyrighted images. I know that things can be done to control the right click options etc. It may be interesting to try opening the files in something like Notepad. You may find that it's just a Copyright message contained in the file

Are he or she running windows vista?
Because if he has, windows vista wont display animated gif stuff..
But its still animated, but vista just wont play them.
You can still upload it, and then it moves, but it just wont on vista.

Hi Sayx,
did have a quick look on the Vogue UK site out of interest and could only find 1 .gif file amongst all the flash and .jpg. the file downloaded and displayed OK at this end. you may want to check that they are not trying to download some other format as .GIF

ok. has i said i'm not really sure if it's vogue site.
well i know vista won't play the animated gifs unless it's opened by
IE7 but the gifs weight a few bytes and when checking the properties of the gif in the
website is show a lot more weight than that so they say.
