Can't wake system up from sleep mode?

I just bought a brand new system and everything was working fine.
I put into sleep mode and the computer went to sleep/died.
I can not wake up computer no matter what I have tried.
I have tried disconecting all the power over and over
Off on buttons don't work, mouse or keyboard don't work, monitor doesn't work.
It's like it went into a black hole of hybirnation and nothing I try will get the computer to power on now so I can get it out of sleep mode.
Everythings dead.
I pluged in my old system and started using it again because my new system I just paid $ 2500 for is useless.
Any suggestions out there?

Brink,
Thank you so much for the fast response with all the information.

The problem is, that i can not get my system to come on to try any of the fixes.

No matter what i have tried I can't get system to power on so I can use it.

I am so desperate to be able to use my new system.

Thanks much,

Garbob

Garbob,

See if unplugging the computer, then either jump the CMOS pins or temporarily remove the CMOS battery for a few minutes to reset the BIOS can then allow you to start the computer again after plugging it back up.

Hey Shawn, It's Garbob,

Thanks for the great help. I read on other sites also about cmos pins because didn't understand that but do now.I tried resetting bios with jumpers, took out battery, and computer will not power on.
Will be calling the manufacture to get it returned on Monday.
Thanks again for all the help, I think I have done everything I can do here trying to fix the problem of permanent sleep mode,
Gary
