Hello,

I want to know whether a specific file is registered on a machine, Is
there any vbscript function or trick that can be used in the same.

Don't know anything specific. Two thoughts:
* Parse the results from assoc and ftype,
http://commandwindows.com/assoc.htm. You can use stdout to read results.
* Use the registry tools in WScript to read from HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, e.g.
looking at .txt points to txtfile, examining that shows it opens in Notepad.
