I have the same problem from today 22/04 of nt being able to paste into emails.

Is there some update that has triggered this for either Vista or Windows Mail?

Most inconvenient.

I have the same problem, just beginning today. Microsoft needs a fix.

When Windows Mail crashes it does not give an error code. Would there be an
error code recorded somehwere else?

First of all, Windows Mail has never allowed pasting of images, but
you should be able to paste text.

Microsoft's fix is for you to upgrade to Windows Live Mail:

I have discovered the same problem today. Why can I not longer cut and paste??

It will not allow copy or cut and paste to hotmail e-mails either. It shuts
Explorer down. So it is not problem exclusive to Windows Mail.

Any solution?

Are you pasting plain text or an image?

Hotmail issues should be posted here:

Ok I did "update" to Windows live even though I do not like it. It does the
same thing. I crashed when I paste TEXT for a WP document as I have bene
doing for ten years previouly with no problem.

What is new that prevents cut and paste?

Can you explain what and how you are trying to C & P?

You can't paste an image in Windows Mail, but you can in WLM.
I don't know of any other restrictions.
I've used C & P in WM and in WLM for the past 2 years with no problems.

Have you rebooted your computer?
Does it still do it after a reboot?

I just tried copy & paste in both WM and Windows Live Mail, and it worked fine.
I have all the latest updates.

Which antivirus are you running? Perhaps it received an update that makes it
less compatible.

I posted earlier. with the problem of not being able to cut and paste into my
Windows Mail.

I've just done a system restore to before I downloaded Windows Live Mail and
"hey presto" I can cut and paste into emails again.

Perhaps it's unwise to download Live Mail - at least till they sort the
program out!

Try it.

I doubt that was it, since millions are using Windows Live Mail without
having that cut & paste problem.

I have just experienced the same problem which started about a week ago.
Everytime I try to C & P in Windows Mail it freezes and closes down. I am
running NOD as an antivirus.
How do I cure this please?

Sorry, I have no clue about this recent Copy & Paste problem.
I also use Eset NOD32 antivirus, but I don't have the issue.

I am still having trouble with cut and paste into Windows Mail. There is
obviously a problem that seemed to occur around 22 April. Have you sorted it
out yet. If so how do I restore the facilty. If not when are you likely to?
I use antivirus NOD and have not installed any new software in past 3 weeks.
My computer is programmed to accept all of the Microsoft updates. Has one of
these caused the problem?

Sorry, I have no clue what may have caused this problem or how to fix it.
The problem does not seem to be very widespread, or we'd be inundated
with similar trouble reports here.

The problem does not seem to be very widespread, or we'd be inundated
