debug dump files in Vista

hello

I have vista and i am was doing disk clean up and i found "debug dump files" and "hibernation file cleaner" and some other "Temporary files" that are so BIG size.:confused:

Shall i delete them or not?

Hi JCR,

The "Hibernation file cleaner" is for your sleep mode. If you delete (clean) it, you will disable your computer sleep mode.

The rest of them are safe to clean.

thx a lot for the reply.
these files are taking a lot of space in the memory more then 1.5 GB
and my vista is new
These files have something to do with the recovery manger coz i have a recovery manager in my new laptop.

JCR,

Is it a HP laptop? If it is, it is the HP Recovery Manager from the OEM. There should be a option in that program to disable the restore points somewhere, if you wanted to.

You might also look and see how much space System Restore is using. This tutorial will show you how. I would recommend using Disk Cleanup to just free up some space though.
