Reinstall DX9. It should have came with the game. Sometimes the DX9
components need to be reinstalled for the game to work properly.

No, DX10 and DX9 are completely Separate apps. There is nothing you can do,
to overwrite your DX10 install

Plus, the files you are actually missing aren't in DX9.0c the base install,
the user Runtime install. Just go to this Microsoft site and pull down the
update. It's updated every 2 months, and so we should see an April revision.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...0C-5E44-4864-93CD-464EF59DA050&displaylang=en

If you don't feel comfortable going to that link, just go to Microsoft.com
and you'll see it on the frontpage under Popular downloads labeled DirectX
(Feb 2007 update)

If you remove DX10, the Aero user interface will be turned down. To play
this game you should find "D3DX9_25.dl" library in internet via popular
internet seachers

The Windows Vista Aero interface requires Direct3D 9 with a WDDM driver
which must have 128 MB of video RAM and support shader model 2.0. It does
not require a Direct3D 10 driver or video card.

You should never download system components from random websites and drop
them on your system unless you know they come from a reliable source. That's
a fast way to get hacked. If you are missing any version of D3DX due to a
failed or badly desigend installer, run the DirectX End-User Runtime
Installer on the Microsoft site and it will install all the supporting SDK
components we've released. Got to http://www.microsoft.com/directx/ and
follow the link for "Get the Latest DirectX Here".
