E-mail...........Incoming!!

Hi...How do I set-up E-mail notification so that any new E-mails that are sent to me while I'm viewing previously sent E-mails, appear on my inbox list? I have to exit my E-mails and then re-enter to become aware that there are new E-mails for me...............Thankyou........Dave

Not sure you can do this but i need to know what you are using as an e-mail client 1st...

MSN and Hotmail have MSN Messenger which notifies you when you have new mail, and tells you who it's from, and Yahoo has "Yahoo Messenger" which, not only notifies you and tells you who it's from, but also leaves a little icon in the System Tray telling you that you have unread mail. Both of these services give you the notifications while you are using your email service, or not.

Windows Live Mail is essentially the same as Hotmail or MSN Mail, so you can use the MSN Messenger. You can download it here: Messenger - Windows Live

If you are already in your email when your new email comes in, you will have to refresh your screen to see the new email listed in your mail. Or, you could just click the Inbox icon - or you could click the Messenger pop-up alert as well. Clicking the pop-up alert will open just the new email, but you can exit the new email to your email service, just like you would exit any other email you're reading.
