Emergency ! Need help with Server Restore

Hi,

Have a Windows 2003 SBS R2 Server which after poor advice from HP The RAID
Failed and I have no Data on the Drives. Under HP recommendation I had to
recreate a New logical Drive which has left me with no data. I have a
Microsoft Backup but unsure how to do a complete restore. I have started to
install Windows and think I then do a restore with MS Backup but unsure and
was hoping someone could advise. It's now 18:18 and I'm going to be stuck
here for a while !

Anyones help would be very welcomed !!

Thanks
Brandan

Thanks for your input guys.

I followed a eariler post on the restore which seems to have worked so far.
However the workstations can not pick up the DHCP server. The Server shows
that it is running and I have tried deleting the scope and creating a new one
but to no avail.

There is no other DHCP server on the network. I also tried running the
internet connection wizard. The server connects to the internet OK.

So I'm a little stuck :(

Hello Brandan,

Thanks for your post and others' input. I am not sure what "earlier post" you followed to restore the SBS server, but good to hear the server works so far.

Have you checked the network connection status on the workstations? Type "IPconfig /all" and check every items for detailed information. If not, test Ping SBS server from workstations. If possible,
please try to remove one of the problematic workstations from server and disjoin it from SBS domain, then rejoin SBS domain using Connect Computer Wizard again.
