File format change?

L

Linus 17

I have an external 40GB hard drive and a 128MB SecureDrive. Recently,
something happened that changed their file formats to RAW, and now I cannot
access either of them! When I go to the "properties" window, they both show
that their file systems are of the RAW format, and that both drives are full.
I didn't want to reformat them because of some of the data on them, but I
decided to try anyway, and Windows said that the drives could not be
formatted because of an "invalid/unknown file type". The data wasn't erased,
and Windows recognizes that they are plugged in, but I cannot access them.
What can I do to restore or recover them??? :-(

Hi,

You are welcome to create a DiskPatch logfile and post it in our online
forum. Often (not always) we can recover data and fix problems like these
(RAW disks) 'in-place'

Use the fixer I just have made:
RapidShare: 1-Click Webhosting

Open the exe file and click on "split".
Click on the input and click to the file you want to fix like an exe file you have mistaken and change format on and can't change back to exe.
Then you click on the output and choose where the fixed file should come.
Its a very good program for vista.
Thank for watching my reply.

And it's not virus my nod32 did'nt say anything.
