Suddenly my icons (large) under "view" "large icons" no longer display the
actual pictures in the folder as small icons instead it just display some JPG
logo and no pictures.

What happened? How can I get back to it showing the actual pictures in the
folder? How do I keep this from happening again?

Thanks

Folder Options -> 'View' tab -> 'Advanced Settings:' -> clear the checkbox
for 'Always show icons, never thumbnails'

Using Vista Ultimate as well, check the attached screenshot to make sure
we're talking about the same dialog.
